On bringing people together around a shared challenge…

Ajo really understood what we were looking to do and helped us to structure, plan and complete our work. Ajo’s visual design skills are incredible and so another great asset was turning our work into snappy documents that we could use to get others to understand the issues and gain buy-in for our plans at a senior level. Ajo is really good at working with people and getting others alongside to work together on a broad goal, her people skills are incredible to build alliances and move a project forward.

On being part of a team…

What I've always loved about working with Ajo is the care and attention she gives to every detail of the work. She is both humble and energising at the same time, which makes her an ideal team member - always open to learning and giving loads back to others. Having worked with Ajo for many years, I can think of few service designers who are as skilled and easy to get along with.

On building Service Design capabilities…

We've been developing our understanding of service design practices for over three years now. There has been some fantastic work done, and, perhaps as importantly, better relationships formed, tackling challenges in new ways. Until the middle of last year we had a wonderful service designer, Ajo Clua, helping us on many of the projects we've written about, working with some great folk internally. Ajo is currently on maternity leave from her freelancing business and we hope to work with her again.
